This morning as I was reading my bible in search of the verse to share for today I heard God say, “Not yet.” I went back to searching for a word to share around lunch time and once again, “Not yet.” So tonight I went on my search again and felt led to this song.
It is time to receive His rain. The harvest is coming. What has been sowed in sorrow will be redeemed. This is a promise He made to all who trust in Him. Let it be done!!!!!
Sometimes violent storms in our lives are necessary to destroy half-truths and lies we have been living, believing or speaking, followed by a flash flood of cleansing rain to flush out the remaining debris. Trust Him in the process.
We have not only been called to build others up with the truths of who Christ says we are, but we are also required to sharpen one another in truth and love. That means going to our sister or brother in Christ when they are living in sin and sharing God’s truth for a purpose of filing away the things that harm us and those around us. This process is a painful one but like a father disciplines his child to teach them right from wrong, it is necessary to bring healing and growth, building a Christlike character in each and every one of us.
